Find out more about The Redeeming, a tense psychological thriller from Brian Barnes...
A disturbed single mother, unable to escape the echoes of her past, is forced to finally confront her fears. As the UK is battered by the worst storms in decades, Joyce’s inner demons threaten to engulf her. Alone and isolated, she wrestles with her regrets but an unexpected stranger may prove that there is no way to shut out the past.
A first feature from writer Roger Thomas and director Brian Barnes, The Redeeming is an intense psychological thriller with breath taking performances from Tracey Ann Wood and Ryan Wichert. Roger Thomas is not afraid to forge his own path and break new ground, making The Redeeming a film which stands shoulder to shoulder with the best of British Indie. Because there are no big names, there are no guarantees that everyone will get out alive!
Filmed over the weekend of the worst storms the UK had experienced in two decades, cast and crew were confined to a farm house, cut off physically and mentally. It’s this atmosphere and isolation that enhances the claustrophobia of the film. The Redeeming will grip audiences and force them to face the past in a way that is deeply personal.
